Comic creator Pat Mills and 2000AD comic strip artist Jim McCarthy discuss 1970s and 1980s historical trauma in the cult comic image. Hannah Eaton and fellow panelists will be looking at Witnessing the Supernatural – 1980s girls comics and her graphic novel Naming Monsters. Curated by Alex Fitch for Cine-Excess IX, a three-day event hosted by the School of Art, Design and Media at the University of Brighton. The event will bring together leading scholars, critics and film makers to contribute to a series of talks, panel discussions, interviews and screenings.
