Comic artist and writer Una, author of Becoming Unbecoming, published by Myriad in 2015, will be at Waterstones Tottenham Court Road to read and sign pre-launch copies of her latest graphic novel, Cree.
Becoming Unbecoming has been widely translated and featured on BBC Radio 4 Open Book and Woman’s Hour, as well as Oprah.com, Newsweek and Elle magazine. Una’s second book, a short story On Sanity: One Day In Two Lives(2016) was supported by Arts Council England. Cree (2018) was commissioned by New Writing North and Durham Book Festival.
The event is the second installment by the #NorthernFictionAlliance roadshow, following the sell-out success of the first roadshow at Waterstones Deansgate in Manchester last year. Those attending the upcoming event will get to meet members of the Alliance – some of the most innovative and exciting writers in the UK. Taking part alongside Una will be authors Ronan Hession, Jacqueline Crooks, Naomi Booth, Amy Arnold, Emily Yaewon Lee, Jendella Benson and Iain Maitland.
Tickets are £5 and there will be a 10% discount on any book purchased on the night if published by attending presses. You can find out more about the event over on Facebook.
