Susheila Nasta and the history of Wasafiri - CHASE symposium


The Consortium for the Humanities and the Arts South-east England (CHASE) have invited Susheila Nasta, editor of Brave New Words and Wasafiri magazine to attend Encounters, the upcoming CHASE symposium which will run at the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts in Sussex over the 15 – 16 November. Susheila is keynote speaker and will discuss the history of Wasafiri and the value of writing.  Her talk will run from 15.30 – 16.30 on Friday 15.

Brave New Words is a new collection of specially commissioned essays to support 35 years of Wasafiri magazine. These 15 essays discuss the crucial place of the writer and the resonance of literature in the 21st century. You can buy your copy HERE.
