An Evening of Stories at Birmingham Whisky Club with Lisa Blower

Share

It truly doesn’t get any better than this.

An evening of stories performed by some great writers from the Midlands. Garrie Fletcher will be launching his new book, Submerged, the award-winning short story writer and novelist Lisa Blower will be reading from her incredible new collection, It’s Gone dark Over Bill’s Mother’s (Myriad, 2019), Peter Haynes will read from his brilliant debut novel, The Willow By Your Side, and award-winning short story writer and all-round top bloke Alan Beard will read from one of his magnificent collections.

Whisky and writers reading from their books in regional accents? Bliss.

The event is to be held at The Birmingham Whisky Club. If you’re travelling by car there’s plenty of roadside parking. Those on trains, head to the Jewellery Quarter train station (one stop from Snow Hill), turn left at the front entrance and the bar is about 100 yards down the road on your right. Same for the trams from the city centre which should be regular at that time of the evening.
