Sarah Lightman Solo Exhibition at The Koppel Gallery

Author Sarah Lightman has a solo exhibition at  The Koppel Gallery in London, which will mark the publication of her graphic novel, The Book of Sarah.

Distilled from thousands of diary drawings begun in her parents’ garden shed back in 1996, Sarah Lightman’s The Book of Sarah is an alternative bible to the one she moved away from, along with the religious Jewish lifestyle she followed as a teenager.

‘The book of Sarah is  absolutely beautiful. I love the format— it seems incredibly fitting that The Book of Sarah is a visual book. The drawings and paintings are very potent. It’s so moving to see such intimately domestic moments collected and sanctified.’ Author Leah Vincent discussing The Book of Sarah.

The exhibition will run from the 27th April – 4th May and the event space is open all week from 10 am – 6pm.
