Writing Our Legacy is delighted to present Umi Sinha and Sharon Otoo in an evening of readings, discussion and after party social by African Night Fever.

Umi Sinha’s highly acclaimed novel, Belonging, was short listed for the  Author’s Club Best First Novel Award. An unforgettable epic of love and loss, and race and ethnicity, it tells the interwoven story of three generations from the darkest days of the British Raj through to the aftermath of the First World War.

Sharon Otoo, former Brightonian, won the Ingeborg Bachmann prize with short story Herr Gröttrup Sits Down, which she wrote in German and tells the story about the rocket scientist who worked for the Nazis, then the USSR.
