Kate Charlesworth, cartoonist and author of the recently published graphic history of LGBT+ life in Britain since the 1950s, Sensible Footwear: A Girl’s Guide, will be speaking at the University of East Anglia on Wednesday 26 February between 17:30 – 19:00. Kate will be in conversation with local cartoonist David Shenton, a prolific illustrator of LGBT+ history, for what promises to be a fascinating reflection on LGBT+ history and the visual archives of LGBT+ life they have both created.
“Not since Alison Bechdel’s Fun Home has there been such an important graphic memoir. A striking achievement in comic form, Sensible Footwear should be on everyone’s bookshelves.” Erica Gillingham, DIVA magazine
This event will will take place in Arts 2.84 (click here to have a look where this is on campus). All are welcome.
