Olivier Kugler will feature in an exhibition this month over in Beirut titled, ‘In-Transit—Displacement and Seeking Refuge as Seen Through Comics’. The exhibition has been organised by The Mu’taz and Rada Sawwaf Arabic Comics Initiative at the American University of Beirut, and will take place at the Beit Beirut Museum and Urban Cultural Center. The exhibition will run from the 11th – 24th March 2019.

Olivier is author of Escaping Wars and Waves: Encounters with Syrian Refugees (Myriad, 2018), a compelling series of evocative drawings documenting the experiences of Syrian refugees he met in Iraqi Kurdistan, Greece, France, Germany, Switzerland and England, mostly on assignment for Médecins Sans Frontières.
