Ian Williams will be a guest of Laydeez Do Comics at Foyles on Charing Cross Road on 20 April, presenting his highly acclaimed graphic novel, The Bad Doctor.

Laydeez Do Comics is the first UK graphic novel forum led by women. Its focus is on comics work based on life narrative and the drama of the everyday. LDC was launched in July 2009 by Myriad graphic authors Nicola Streeten and Sarah Lightman.

The Bad Doctor is a humane, moving and often very funny graphic novel about the life of a country doctor and those of his patients. Cartoonist and doctor Ian Williams introduces us to Dr Iwan James: cyclist, doctor, would-be lover, former heavy metal fan and, above all, human being.

Ian’s fellow guests at Laydeez Do Comics will be comics scholar Ariel Kahn and cartoonist Elizabeth Querstret. This event is free and open to all. To register, click here.
