Myriad author Hannah Vincent will be reading from her debut novel, Alarm Girl, at the first boutique Have A Word literature night at Merlin & Ellis in Brighton.

Have A Word has moved to a new and intimate location: an LQBTQ bookshop and coffee house selling vintage clothing and vegan toiletries. Vincent will appear alongside author Oli Spleen and book critic Paul McVeigh, with music from Josh Sharples.

Award-winning Hannah Vincent began her writing life as a playwright, after studying drama at the University of East Anglia. Her plays include The Burrow, Throwing Stones (Royal Court Theatre) and Hang (National Theatre Studio). She teaches Creative Writing for the Open University and is currently studying for her PhD at the University of Sussex.
