Elaine Chiew will be celebrating the release of The Heartsick Diaspora, with a launch event at Malaysia’s largest international literary event, George Town Literary Festival.

This theme of this year’s festival is ‘We Are Who We Are/Are We Who We Are?’, the crux of Elaine’s debut collection.  Set in different cities around the world, her award-winning stories travel into the heart of the Singaporean and Malaysian Chinese diasporas to explore the lives of those torn between cultures and juggling divided selves.

The launch event will run from 3.30 pm on the 24th November at Gerakbudaya Bookshop@Hikaya.
