Write by the Beach: the Beach Hut Writing Academy Conference

Share

From Inspiration to Publication: a one-day conference at which Brighton and Hove’s literary talent share their knowledge with new writers, in a truly beautiful seafront setting.

Taking its name from Hove’s iconic beach huts, the Beach Hut Writing Academy has its creative roots in the streets, sounds and stories of the seaside city, and with their first writers’ conference, they’re sharing their hard-won expertise with new and unpublished writers.

With a fabulous line-up of bestselling speakers from the Beach Hut Writers’ community – a group of 90+ published authors and screenwriters living in Brighton and Hove – the conference will be held in the stunningly refurbished Angel House, a regency building with an artistic history and inspiring views and interiors.

Between them, the Beach Hut Writers have published over 250 books, with numerous bestselling titles, and created countless hours of TV & Radio. The Write by the Beach Conference will showcase work that was created locally but has made a global impact – and help new writers understand how they can go from first ideas to literary success. Sessions will include keynote speeches, genre panels, a self-publishing round table, and one-to-one sessions with publishing professionals.

How to create unforgettable characters for page and screen
