Women's Rights with Emma, Corinne Pearlman and Laura Snoad at Waterstones Gower St

Gender roles, income inequality and other feminist issues will be up for debate by Myriad Creative Director, Corinne Pearlman,  French cartoonist Emma, creator of the recently published graphic novel The Mental Load (Seven Stories) and design journalist Laura Snoad, in a discussion to be chaired by illustrator and gal-dem’s arts and culture editor, Mariel No.

Feminist cartooning has a long tradition, and the panel will look at the ways in which artists’ work has led to changed thinking and responsibility over gender roles – and also the extent to which women continue to bear the burden of remembering when to put the rubbish out. Corinne will be showcasing recently-published Myriad titles that address the theme, including The Women’s Atlas by Joni Seager and  The Inking Woman by Nicola Streeten and Cath Tate.
