Two of Myriad’s graphic novelists, Una and Sarah Lightman, will appear as guests at the Southbanks Centre’s 2016 WOW – Women of the World festival, celebrating women and girls and looking at the obstacles that stop them from achieving their potential.

The festival runs from 8 – 13 March and will include a series of ‘Socials’, each featuring innovative and striking contemporary writers. The ‘Kapow! Graphic Novel Social’ will celebrate the work of women in comics and will be chaired by Sarah Lightman, author of the forthcoming The Book of Sarah, and co-founder of LaydeezDoComics. Una, author of Becoming Unbecoming, will appear on the panel, alongside fellow  graphic novelists Rachael Ball (The Inflatable Woman), and Catherine Anyango (Heart of Darkness and 2×2).
