By the end of this year, one in four people are likely to be affected by a mental health condition. What can the arts do to open up a conversation about mental health? And how can they help the healing process? For example, can literature provide new ways of making sense of depression?

Darryl Cunningham, author of Psychiatric Tales, Science Tales and Supercrash, will be joining writers, scientists and artists to address major mental health issues head-on in a Arts v Chemicals, one of a series of panel discussions in a weekend devoted to Changing Minds. The panel will debate the pros and cons of medication.
