Author, illustrator and comic creator Paula Knight will be showcasing three spreads from her first illustrated novel, The Facts of Life at Fertility Festival in London on June 11 as part of ‘The Infertility Diagnosis’ session at 11:30am.

Shortlisted for the Myriad Editions First Graphic Novel competition, The Facts of Life  explores what it takes to be or not to be a woman and a mother in a sometimes funny, sometimes painful but always beautifully drawn way. ‘Her delicate, highly-realised style brings an unsettling edge to the story and the imagery… Each page is an object lesson in how to tell a difficult and complicated story concisely.’

Paula will also be presenting several shorter comics at the event on the topic of childlessness and motherless children.

The Fertility Festival 2016 will take place on June 11. The event will begin promptly at 9:30am, and conclude after a creative performance of The Quiet House at 7:00pm.
