Adam Baron and Lesley Thomson perform Literary Death Match at Charleston's Small Wonder Festival

Literary Death Match heads to Charleston — stomping ground for the Bloomsbury Group — to team up with the Small Wonder Short Story Festival for a can’t-miss night of lit, wit, surprise and the crowning of a literary wonder.

Part literary event, part comedy show, part game show, Literary Death Match sees two Myriad authors,  Adam Baron and Lesley Thomson, together with Petina Gappah and one more to be confirmed soon, perform their most brilliant work in an edge-of-your-seat read-off.

Three judges — literary critic Alex Clark, novelist Kirsty Logan and writer and reviewer Chris Power — give their critique on Literary Merit, Performance and Intangibles; the evening concludes with a (possibly ridiculous) slapstick showdown to decide the ultimate Literary Death Match champion.

Since its debut in New York City in 2006, Literary Death Match has played literary-minded, ridiculously entertaining gigs in sixty cities worldwide. The event is hosted by Literary Death Match creator Adrian Todd Zuniga.
